Soy Sauce Short Ribs
Overview
This is a Korean style short rib recipe where you can use a pressure cooker to cut the time the traditional method takes. Ingredients
- Daikon
- Carrots
- Short Ribs
- Asian Pear or Apple
Mise en Place
- Bring a pot of water to boil
- Boil short ribs in boiling water for 10 minutes (parboil) (boil it whole
- Drain and rinse with cold water
- Cut into chunks
- Soak in cold water and clean out bowl a couple of times
- Peel daikon
- Peel carrots
- Cut daikon and carrots
Cooking
- In a pressure cooker or instant pot add:
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- Dash of sesame oil
- Daikon, carrots, the whole asian pear (or apple), and the short ribs.
- For short ribs on a bone pressure cook for 20 minutes
- For boneless short ribs pressure cook for 15 minutes and let natural release
- Serve with sesame seeds, sliced green onion, and black pepper
