Overview

This is a Korean style short rib recipe where you can use a pressure cooker to cut the time the traditional method takes. Ingredients

  • Daikon
  • Carrots
  • Short Ribs
  • Asian Pear or Apple

Mise en Place

  • Bring a pot of water to boil
  • Boil short ribs in boiling water for 10 minutes (parboil) (boil it whole
  • Drain and rinse with cold water
  • Cut into chunks
  • Soak in cold water and clean out bowl a couple of times
  • Peel daikon
  • Peel carrots
  • Cut daikon and carrots

Cooking

  • In a pressure cooker or instant pot add:
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Dash of sesame oil
  • Daikon, carrots, the whole asian pear (or apple), and the short ribs.
  • For short ribs on a bone pressure cook for 20 minutes
  • For boneless short ribs pressure cook for 15 minutes and let natural release
  • Serve with sesame seeds, sliced green onion, and black pepper Soy Sauce Short Ribs
